ICELAND

Made it! It is rainy but it has been good so far. Even with the clouds it is still light out at 10:30.
I will probably stay around the city tomorrow before heading out to the sights the following 2 days. There are a bunch of photos of me from The Netherlands on Facebook if you are interested.

Last day in Amsterdam

Sooo dropped the ball on keeping this updated but once I get back and go through my photos I will come back and post a bunch from here and ireland. The whole trip has been awesome the class was good and the city was great. Had a lot of fun, saw an enormous amount or architecture. Tomorrow I am off to Iceland. Can't wait! I will hopefully be able to get some online time there to let everyone know how it is going.

Utrecht

Here is a shot form the streets of Utrecht. The tower is from the main church near the center of the city.

This house was really really cool. The upstair is one big open area that has slide out walls that can divide it all up in to different rooms. There was a whole bunch of different arrangments and variations it could be set up in. Very cool project.

Here was a beach we found along the way. He actually took a quick dip. It was not as cold as i thought it would be but it was not warm by any means.

Day 4

Today we rented a car adn headed across country. We went out through a handfull of different cities. Stopped to see Bunraty Castel. turned off and found a huge windmill farm! really sweet. Finilly got out to Dingle and had a late lunch. From there we did the senic loop along the coast. The clifs were beautiful. The road was very narrow and very windy but it was a fun drive. The drive was amazing. We took a hike a little hike out to one of the points in the middle of the loop. Had dinner in Dingle and headed back to Dublin. Took a while to get used to staying on the left side and shifting with your left hand but we made it there in back in one piece. We got back around 3 am and took a quick na before getting up at 5:30 to get back to the airport to fly out.

Day 3

To day we took is slow in Dublin. Went over to St. Patricks and went to mass there. Long but interesting then stayed to check out the church. After that checked out Crist's church wich was cool as well. Went to the Hard rock for lunch then went to St. Stephens park. Hung out at Trinity college for a bit longer and took an early night.

Day 2

We rented bike today. Went out to the coast saw a whole bunch of contemporay projects. We saw the brand new stadium. them we crossed the city and went to Phenix park. the park was huge with a bucnh of dirrerent monumnets. After that we went to lunch then the Guiness storehouse. The tour was awesome. We got to learn how to pour the perfect pint and learned all about the history. It was another great day with beautiful weather. Tomorrow we are haeded out west to see the country side. Until then,

EUROPE 2010

Made it to Dublin. Got in at about 6 am. Walked around, saw the city got settled in. The hostel is really nice and the people have been really nice. Saw the book of Kells, that was really cool. Walked a good distance out of the city and took a tour of the old prison. Checked out Dublin castel and went to a few churches just as they were closing. We will hit those tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a day on Bikes, see the coast see the big park on the outskirts. Sunday we are going to take a day trip out west and see some good stuff out there. I will hopefully get some pictures up soon. Unitl then.
